Activision a officialisé le développement de Call of Duty : Black Ops par Treyarch et sa date de sortie pour le 9 novembre 2010. Le site officiel du jeu ne dévoile pour le moment absolument rien sur le jeu. Le communiqué précise néanmoins que le jeu proposera une campagne solo, ainsi que du coop. Le mode multi avec des zombies devrait également faire son grand retour, même s'il n'a pas été officialisé par le biais du communiqué officiel.
