Epic Games and Digital Extremes' changed tactics for their second Unreal franchise game with a multiplayer oriented first person shooter. There is a sci-fi storyline about mega corporations sponsoring gladitorial style combat but it's paper thin and just an excuse for the player to battle both in a structured campaign of single and team based battles as well as online multiplayer games
